Rained like mad yesterday morning here. Very pleasant and warm today, but more rain in the forcast.
Maybe you will just get the warm weather. We can only hope and pray!  ;)

Stay dry brothers!

Brian I heard if it doesn't get any wetter we are running this weekend.

That is the plan, but the track is WETTTT out there !!!!!!!!

Well we ran last night in Mandan.  I started on the pole of heat 2 and led most of the race.  I WON my first heat race of my career!!  i then started 4th in the feature, fell back a bit but ended up with 5th!!  Was a great night of fast clean racing.

Great job Joe.  I wish I had done as well, but I still had fun.  It feels good to win a race doesn't it?   I hope I can win another one or two this season.  So far it isn't looking good.

I got a bad set of carbs from my engine builder and struggled to a 3rd place heat finish and 9th place feature finish.

4th in the heat. Started outside pole for the A main, someone lost an exhaust and of course I ran it over before they threw the yellow. Still dont know what I did to the car, but it would turn in just fine, but in the middle of the corner I could turn the wheel to left lock and still go straight to the fence. Thought the RF went down, but it is fine. Everything looks good on the surface. Will have to pull it apart, finished 15th.

Happy Fathers day everyone.

A couple side notes:
Chris won his B main last night in the modified and finished 13th in the A
The Legends A main was won by Kevin Brill using R2C air filters...good job Kevin!

That was my muffler Jim. It broke off real early, lap 2 or 3. I think 4 - 5 different cars run it over including myself. If I can get this car to stay together for a whole race I think I could get some decent finishes with it.

Hope you can save it after being run over a few times...those things  are pretty sturdy though.

I'm having the same issue...I keep breaking littler things than you lately though...its cheaper but still as frustrating. Hope this turns out to be a little thing too, once I figure it out

Been spending time with my new girlfriend.
Will get back on the car soon.

Wahoooo!  Got a second place finish in my first heat this week!  My God but that felt good.  (first time for that good a showing, can you tell?)

I had gone over the car pretty carefully over the weekend.  Lubricated the caliper sliders, re-greased the wheel bearings, double checked all the settings, replaced the rear end housing with a nice newly straightened one.  New gear oil, new oil change, new oil filter, new fuel filter, cleaned the carbs, lubed the air filters, re-tweaked the ride heights, you name it.  Looks like the extra attention paid off.  She ran like a dream and kept me at the front of the angry mob.  Had 2 restarts and managed to pull away both restarts.

If only I could have kept the car sticking like that for the rest of the night.  Going to have to work on that next.  Couldn't stick it as well as the night got cooler.  Need to learn what tweaking is needed as the temps drop.

Wish I would have been there to see it Mike.  Unfortunately I'm on course (again) and couldn't get away from work early enough to make it to Kawartha.

How'd Jeremy, and Matt Mould make out?

E-mail me some tire temps and the baseline setup your running w/ that car and I can go through some of my notes on it if you want.
