AS DELIVERED
« on: March 19, 2013, 09:15:45 am »
Getting kind of slow around here, lets get an "as delivered" topic going. What parts OTHER THAN ENGINES do you guys think should be allowed or what parts do you think are being used that should not be considered legal?

I think dual master cylinders for the brakes could be a plus.
Use a balance bar to tailor front/rear brakes and use the proportioning valve to adjust the right front brake.

How about an upper support for the front clip... Nothing to strong... Maybe  1" 18 gauge tube to help support the clip

The triangular plate on the shifter linkage. They make a piece that has bearings installed. This plate took out a bit of the play in the linkage. Many of us down here were running it until INEX said that they would penalize anyone using one. We all went back to the stock plate. Would be nice to run it.

I agree with that one.
No reason at all they shouldnt be allowed. INEX reasoning was they are too expensive...mmm hmm

I do believe you are now allowed to replace the bell crank with a bearing style alu. bell crank.

I have not seen where INEX allows the bell crank with the bearing. I can certainly see where it would take some of the slop out of the shift linkage.
I have thought a Morse cable (push/pull) system might be a solution to the slop in the shifting system.
Just thinking out loud with that.

I do believe the issue was that those bell cranks were aluminum. However they weigh just as much of not more. I agree about this piece. It's not too expensive and just makes things work much smoother.

Last contact I had with Scott, he said it was illegal, that was early last year though

NOT legal because "AS DELIVERED" from US Legend cars it's steel. I have heard that they are going to be getting stricter about origionally steel stuff being replaced with aluminum......

I agree with QUICK CHANGE  rears....I have to currently change gears 2 times per week on 2 cars....getting a little OLD
