I hope this save some guys a trip on the lid. I think the big thing with is safety more than performance. I know that the cost is high for one rim but it could save you a whole lot more in the long run.

Is it race season yet?

Its worth it all day in my book...I just look at it like the rest of the safety equipment...really, is your life worth not spending the extra $50 bucks for a beadlock rim vs the regular bassett painted rim?

We dont start until May here....still thumb twiddling time, although I should really get my chassis over to Jeff so he can clip it!

Still haven't seen any notice of the beadlocks on 600's site, but I did see the faxed notification from 600 at our dealer's today so it should be official soon.

600 is still waiting on some part for the beadlock, they just keep telling me "the piece in the middle", and that they should be ready next week. It is official, hopefully they get this piece out and start shipping them soon

Odd that the dealers would have them in stock, but 600 wouldn't? Oh well, par for the course I guess...I'd rather wait and get mine from 600, but thats my personal hang-up

600 has them in stock but they are waiting on the covers (middle piece).  I was told that the cover will be mandatory and thats why they are waiting to send the wheels out.  They shipped wheels out to places where they started racing.

I used mine this past weekend I made my own covers ,was real easy ,just take off ring lay it on a piece of aluminum trace the inside of the ring, cut it out then use a soft wheel on a grinder to get up to the line you traced ,then when you fit it to the rim and its right, hold it there and from the back side shoot some black spray paint at the the three mounting hole take the peice and the drill out where the paint marked , really looks good, let me know if you try it and how it worked out  ?   Vern

I believe you will have to use only the Basset wheel and cover from 600 Racing.

You will have to use the 600 Racing supplied cover so that they can get thier piece of the action.

Jeff and Brian are right...that's the hold up on shipping the rims out to those of us whose seasons haven't started yet
