Anybody gotten a response from INEX as to why these were outlawed?

Per Scott Reinhart this afternoon:

Mr. Bucher,

We are doing some research on them now.

However, They were not "suddenly outlawed".

They were never requested, approved, a part offered by US Legends Cars or addressed by the INEX rulebook.

Sincerely,

Scott Reinhardt

  Mr. Bucher,

Ya, we learned that the competitors were starting to use these pieces (That's why I put out the flier on the website stating how the rulebook applied to that particular piece).

One of the companies that makes them has properly requested that we approve them and we are researching them now to see if they are a reasonably priced, needed piece for use on the Legends Car.

We will post something on the website in the next few weeks.

Sincerely,

Scott Reinhardt

??? We all know that people already use the adjustable spacers. The whole silly idea of having to make one off spacers is just a pain in the ass.
INEX will get their fair share of the pie (plus some).

I am only starting my second year with a Legend Car so my instinct my be wrong, but I have a feeling that the "approved" spacers will be more expensive than the DRP spacers.

Other than the expense to make several different size spacers, What's the difference?
Just askin'.

DRP is working with INEX to get them on the approved part list.
I do not have a timeline, just waiting on INEX to decide if they will be legal or not

Anybody heard anything?
The notice of them being illegal came down a week ago, wondering if a decision has been made by INEX

Threaded adjustable bearing spacers will be available possibly this week, probably next week through any USLC dealer. This will be a legal adjustable bearing spacer.

I guess that's why Scott has not responded to my last 2 emails. They will probably make all of them that have been on peoples cars for a year illegal, and now the only legal ones will have to be USLC stamped I'd bet.
Thanks for the update Dennis. Let us know when you hear more information
