on a flat 1/4 mi paved track with a 34 coupe would you want the wheelbase to be shorter on one side or the other? if so, which side and why?

Out of my element on pavement, but I would want the wheelbase the same, and just run more of a caster split...just my un-asphalt-cated opinion, I will bow out to the tar guys

Person with many years experience recommended me to run 1/16" longer on left.  Slightly tightens up car.  Adjust with LF wheel keeping rear end square.

Is your rear end square? There is NO WAY you are running 54% cross with a square rear and cut Federal tires on a 1/4 mile track and the car is tight. Take about 8% out of that thing and start there.

I think Dennis meant NOT tight. I agree something is not right because you should be plowing through the corners.

yep thats what everyone has said. the rear end is square. started at 47% cross and the rear end would pass the front going into the corners. kept tightening it until it pushed in, then took one round out of  rf and put one in lf. thats the best its felt. scaled it and i was at 53ish %. i was running 300lb lf,325 rf,185 lr,200rr. 30 psi rh,20 psi lh.  i have lowered lf to 275,seemed abit better. was gunna try a 200 in lr tonight at practice. wheelbase is longer on rh side but dont have exact measurement in my head. im 50% l and 50% rear. 3 5/8- 4in ride height. open to any suggestions cuz i wanna go fast! someone suggested goin to 350 in rf to reduce weight transfer off of lr on entry?

Feel free to call me anytime. Not being cocky, but I would like to discuss the set-up.

What caster are your running? Also your loose in can be from too much rear brake.  Try dialing some front brake in to the car.. i have been running my wheel base at 72 3/4 on left 73" on right with the RR pulled back an 1/8
