scale leveling
« on: June 05, 2011, 09:24:55 pm »
I've made wooden boxes to keep my scales on when scaling the car.  I make sure that i level each scale pad with eachother.  They are all level, but the heights of the boxes are all different once all level.  Should the heights be all equal or can they be different heights?

Thanks,
Dan

That my depend on your garage floor surface. I would think that if the scale pads are level with eachother then it should be ok.
You might want to put marks on the floor where your boxes sit (and number them so that you get the same box in the same spot each time) to save a little time in resetting your scale pad levels. Would think that you would still need to check their level each time though.

Alright i was thinking they only all needed to be level with each other and heights didn't matter. Since i already know that the garage floor isn't level.

Thanks,

Since the floor isn't level, sounds like now is the time to build a Canadian garage...don't forget the heated floor option  ;D

Do they make Florida garages with cooled flooring?  We seem to have jumped forward to August.

Never thought of a cooled garage floor...even when its 100 degrees here, my concrete is nice and cool
