Jim posted on the tire increase also. Guess everyone should try to get their tires bought before the end of the month. :(

It's very likely that the cost to USLC were raised due to current price of oil. Such is life. Still fairly reasonable all things considered.

I am a dealer, the BFG was $99.00 for several years , when they switched to Federal they were able to drop the price. Now the cost is back to $99.00.  I think its to be expected.

Sure, the economy is in the toilet and the sales are down, so the additional cost must be passed along to those of us who are still buying what they are selling... :o

But hey, still they best bang for the buck...for a little while longer... :'(

guys, the price is NOT the same. If USLC had stayed with BFG's we would be paying about $132 a tire right now, if not more, do to the increase in cost of goods. BFG wanted to raise the price somewhere around 40%, due to the fact that they no longer produced the HR4 tire in the size we used. The molds were worn out, and they would have needed to produce new molds. The change was indeed a wise one, and economically sound. the federal tire should be around for may years, as this tire is a production tire, as well as the Legends tire. what hurt the price, is the cost of oil, and the fact that these need to be shipped from taiwan, instead of from Mexico as the BFG's were. Dang, it would be nice if someone in the USA could actually afford to compete, but that is the fault of the politicians that keep passing "free trade" agreements...
