What Oil Cooler do you use?

I am currently borrowing a friends old oil cooler and I am looking to get a new one.  What Oil Coolers does everybody use (Brand, Part #) and does everybody run an electric fan?  I assume the Setrab is the standard because it is what USLegendCars offers on their webiste (but not sure if its the best option).

So far I have found two common oil coolers specified for Legends Cars

Fluidyne DB-30316 Single Pass Oil Cooler

Setrab 2  50-920-7612  tripple pass oil cooler (this is the 20 row although I see they make a 25, 34, 48 row cooler with the same mounting locations)?

I have also included pictures of the two just for refernece (if you have pictures of other coolers let me know).

The  Fluidyne cooler is a really nice cooler, it is now available in a two pass model. The two pass looks the same as the one pass but it is divided. fluidyne is a little more flexible and a little lighter.

Setrab makes multiple coolers, the most popular would be the two pass, although alot of people spend a little more and run the three pass.  Setrab is the original cooler of the Legend Car and endorsed by USLC.

The two pass Setrab number is 920-2.  Being we are an USLC dealer we sell the two and three pass cooloer, also
we are an official Fluidyne Dealer, so also sell Fluidyne single and two pas coolers.

I run the Setrab 920 in the dirt, with no fans.
Remember, this is an AIR COOLED engine, not an oil cooled engine.
The 920 is long and low, allowing more air to the engine

yes that is the Fluidyne number. be careful if you use this cooler as it has specific plumbing ports, connect it wrong and it will not cool at all.

Wanted to make sure that I hook up the new Fluidyne cooler correctly.  Assuming that the oil input and output on the same side should be used, but wanted to make sure that I have it correct on which side.  Figured other people would have the question also.  One side has the fittings painted red and on the other side it is plain.

The new one is a double pass, so I would imagine the plumbing would be different than was used on the single pass.  It still has the 4 ports so I just wanted to make sure that I do not get it backwards.

The diagram that Rob posted should still apply. 1, 2 and 3 pass coolers still work the same... Just more rows of tubing. Thus better cooling capacity.

I took a look through the tubes and it looks like the inlet and outlet should both be on the side with the red fittings.  If I use the other side it will only make one pass across the cooler.

I have been in Virginia fishing and freezing, sorry for the delay. The two ports marked red are the ports you will use.  The feed or in-port is on the bottom and the top or return port is on the top. Hope this helps. Agani sorry for the delay.
