(not running Legends, yet)
The cars I have had, I've run w/ my lifetime number 17, or a variation of it in the event someone else was already running it.
I was born in the early 80's and grew up in a racing family, my younger brother is named after Bill Elliott. My hockey numbers were always based off of different drivers, 27 for Rusty Wallace, 9 and 11 for Elliott, and 17 for the infamous Tide car w/ Darryl Waltrip driving it. The first jersey my dad purchased for me was when his business sponsored our hockey team, w/ the 17 on the back, and it's been my number ever since.
BTW, we're having a Team Canada vs Team USA ball hockey game over here in Afghanistan where I hope to wear the 17 and score at least a hat trick against the goalie wearing the blue jersey.
Good luck w/ finding a number.
