I can't say that I noticed any handling differences in either on my cars.
I can say that I T-boned a car hard enough to flatten the round vertical bars on the front bumper (where the tabs weld to) flat against the front horns, the front bumper into a V shape, the grill bent over the front of the motor, and the steering rack plate from 90 deg angle to 60 deg. The front horns where not bent vertically at all and where only 1/2"to the left. Instead of a full front clip ($300), I only had to straighten a little and replace the steering rack plate w/ crossbar ($12).
My other car I flipped a month later, I landed on th LF horn (bent the bumper 90 deg along side the horn) and it only needs some straightening (less than 3/4" bent in).
I have seen 2 other frames from this year that the horns were bent at at least 45 deg angles in front of the shock towers, but no bends or waves behind the shock towers. Those frames still need clipped, but protected the motor mount areas on both sides.
From what I have seen, I will not hesitate to put them on again.
