Sealed motor question

Possibly thinking about purchasing a car that has a 1250 sealed motor. The owner advised that the head was removed and replaced at a local friends shop due to a valve issue. With this being said would this motor still qualify as a sealed motor or would i have to send it to Charlotte to have it inspected and resealed. I am new to Legends and didnt want to buy another car with out asking.

Yes the engine will have to go back to be inspected and sealed. I have in a couple of situations been allowed to remove the head seal, make a repair and then reseal the engine WITH seals that were sent to me as a dealer. Otherwise unless there is more to the story and a dealer was involved it will have to go back.
