Looking to get a Hans, Does anyone know where the best deal is on them. I need a large and want a sport model. I think I need a 20 deg. but not sure on that either. Thanks

I have a defnder. I really like mine, plus the price is a plus. Its a bit of a pain to get the belts exactly where they are supposed to be by yourself in the car though. That is the only thing that I can say I don't like about it.
The thing I really like about it is it has tethers to limit your side to side head movement. If you look at the pictures, you can see them off of the black stabilizer bar, they're maybe an inch or so long and tie into the bottom of the hardware that attaches to the helmet. I feel this is a great and important feature for the guys that don't have a containment seat, because it protects if you get hit in the door. I believe the HANS is intended to be used in conjunction with at least a halo for that reason.

I think they are  pretty much the same price anywhere you go, $695 from what I've seen in the past. Theres not much mark-up in them, so not alot of discount room.

I had a guy from Safety Solutions ask me to try that at the National in North Carolina. It worked very well but it is no easier to use than the Hutchens device. I go to the races a lot by myself and looking for something easy to use that works. I have used a Hutchens for a few years and it works as long as there is a team of trained circus clowns around to get you in the dadgum thing.......LOL.

G-Force SRS-1. Simpledesign, easy to use, and inexpensive.
I never have anyone helping me strap in.

No, I don't sell them, so I'm not trying to drum up business.
Just my opinion.

The SRS1 does not work with the new G Force helmets if that is what you have.  I made that mistake and ended up having to go with a Hutchens.

Just bought the DefNder and I will let you know how I like it. I got it for $515 which is the best deal I can find. I get next week so I will let you know how it fits.

I've used the defnder for the last 2 years. Really don't have anything negative to say about. I can get in my car and strap in with no assistance...comfortable too.

Just picked up my defnder today and it really seems like  a nice unit. I have to get home and put it on in the car and make some final adjustments. Do you have any tips? Thanks
