Anyone have anything intersting going on?
« on: November 09, 2009, 06:16:17 pm »
Pretty quite around here since the season is over for most people.  Anyone have anything interesting going on with a new car for next year, a heated Canadian garage being built ;), or anything else for us to kill some time on here for the next few months?

I have my new driver in place, and we have moved our engine work in-house, so keeping very busy.
No Canadian garage until next year though  :'(

Congratulations Joe.  By new arrival I am assuming it in not just new wheels or something like that.   :)

I was going to guess a 108" flatscreen, then he could finish the basement with tiered theater type seating  ;D

Hi Everbody,

Still no internet at home. Spent all the money on a used small pickup and hand surgery for Rhonda.
Truck runs and looks great! Rhonda's hand doesn't look so great, but is healing well. A month out of work is not helping out in the budget department.

Sorry that I haven't been online lately. Still checking in as I am able to.

I hope everyone has a productive off season. Get those cars torn down, rebuilt and re-painted. Then, don't forget to post up some pics!  ;)

Found a new body and going to go get after I get back from Texas, Going from a 34 back to a 37. I kind of liked the 34 body style. I hear you Vern it is hard to get started. I will try and post the video of the Nats. while I'm out on the road this week.

I got a deal on a rear end housing that only has a few races on it.  Looks brand new.  The one that came in the car was tweaked so this might help with the handling.  Hope to just get a few little things dealt with while saving up for the engine.  Only had 5 races on the car and no real damage, so no need to pull the car apart during the off season.  I'm going to try to insulate the garage attic in a few weeks, so I will be one more step closer to a Canadian garage.   :)

Now I just need to figure out where to hide the nitrous bottle on my car. ;)

Buy a fire suppression system and somehow retro-fit it to take nitrous, they'll never suspect it...just don't bring it to Wisconsin and I'll keep my mouth shut!   :o

Joe, congrats on the new baby!  :)

I already have one of the fire system from you Jim and was glad to have it as an option when my motor blew.  Got lucky and it did not catch fire, but was glad to have it if I needed it.  A second bottle with nitrous might stand out a little.   ;D

Well after a few months of not being on the forum I am back for the winter season :-).  We moved in the summer to a new house with 2 acres and an even bigger heated garage.  I also put up my 102 inch screen in the basement.
Started to take the car apart and got a call that the local dealer is not able to run the schools anymore.  He was looking for someone to take it over and buy his two cars.  So we did.  Now I have 3 cars in the garage and the winter does not seem long enough anymore:-).  We also got set up to carry parts for race cars.  Any part you can imagine we can now get it.  Legends, Late Model, Sprint cars, Hot rods, off road trucks.  You name it we can probably get it.  My off season is going to be very crazy.
