Racecar spelled backwards is racecar. Racecar upside down is expensive.

Make sure you can use the Lexan cover at your track...

Don't the foam plugs still use a ring that fasten on with the dzus fasteners?

:-[  Sorry! I have never used them... As I am a pavement guy.  :-[

Nope, you just stick it inside the wheel, much faster and easier to get in and out for air pressure and tire changing.  I dont plan to use my lexan cover unless INEX makes me since the foam plug works so well.

The foam plug also helps build and retain heat in the tire. On a hard tire it's pretty helpful

Hmmm I'm thinking i'm ok at my local tracks as the modifieds run lexan covers.  But the foam thing...... that is a good idea for keeping heat in the tire.

I painted my cover from the inside...looks kinda cool.  I'm gonna use my gas pedal to keep the heat in my tires!  HA!   ;)

Yeah, thats the ticket!  :-X
Its surprising how much the foam retains heat. After the heat race last week, I parked the car and went for a stroll, watched some other races, got something to eat, then went back about an hour and a half later to check tire pressures for the main, and the foam mudplug was still warm. Not a sales pitch, you could always buy a 15" at the track I'm sure and cut it down to size, just an observation. Take it or leave it.

Well.. ran the bead lock last night for the first time.  Found out 2 things.. 1. If it is taky you can get away with less then 12 pounds in the right rear... and man did that thing hook up.  2. If it is dry slick and rough... you need to put more air in the thing, the car did not handle until I found the bottom where there was a bit of moisture.

I still like the beadlock though, its good insurance  for not having a DNF.

I bought my beadlock this weekend and can't wait to get it mounted. I heard guys running 7 1/2 in the right rear. I need to make a cover or get some foam though.\

I ran mine for the first time this weekend and I guess it worked.  My tire didn't fall off.   :)  I only went down to 11 lbs in the right rear, but it was nice not to have to worry about the tire coming off of the bead.
