good deal hey rick sounds like you do need weight/sway bar control I had a simular prob,I might have a set Ill dig up and let you try it before you go out and buy the wroung thing ?let me see if I can find it ill let you know is your truck a 1/2 ton ?if so thats what you need.or did you say it was a 1 ton ? the truck wont let you put enough toung wait.with these sway bars it allows you to load the toung and keep the backm of the truck up.

The truck is a half ton.  I was told by a couple people that if I put weight distribution on my truck, I would end up down in the woods across the road or at least never make it back up my driveway because the rear wheels of my truck would get too light at the bottom of the ski jump/driveway; that's why I was thinking about the friction type sway control.  If you have some other ideas, I'm all ears.  I might just try moving the car another foot forward and see how that goes.  I'll try it this weekend but I probably won't know if it works until Susky since I live 4 miles from lincoln and it only does the sway thing at around 60 or better.

Steve, I figured sooner or later you would catch it.  I answered Vern's question to me in a private message.  It is so hard to stay on track sometimes!!

The private messaging is in place for people to BS with one another. I have mentioned this several times to different people. Not that I think it is wrong to BS, joke, or just be silly sometimes.... It screws up things for members, and guests, who are searching for certain information.

Lets PLEASE all try to stay on topic.

Thanks,

Steve

Just found out from our tech director yesterday that we cant run the lexan cover that Inex sells so I have to go and get a foam plug as that will be our only option.

I don't think it is INEX that is changing the rules. I think the type of plug used is an individual track thing.

Jeff,

Please refer to my quote from March 27th...

"Here is the rule from our "home" track for the other divisions:

"Foam type or soft plastic mud plug allowed on right side tires
only." "

You should have expected it would apply to us too, although I suppose an argument could be made by some that Lexan is "soft", it's not.

Yeah, realize that but you just wait we will go somewhere and they will make you run that lexan cover.  Either way its nice to have on handto use at Chilton and when I travel.

I prefer the foam ones, but will have both on hand anyway also. Remember, back in the day, the foam mudplug was invented as an insulator, to keep heat in the tire, not just as a mud plug...

Does someone sell foam plugs for the 13 inch wheels, or do you just cut down a 15 inch one?

I cut a 15" foam down, looks like it will work, but I dont know since I have never used one before.
