The results are in. VMS Motorsports has chosen the recipient of the 2009 FireCharger Fire Suppression System sponsorship…with a twist. After reviewing all of the applications, there were two prospects that stood out, for two very different reasons. So, as all good men do, I asked my wife…she said “why not help out both?†So that’s what I did.
Kyle Peterin, Wissota Late Model driver from Hibbing, Minnesota, will receive his FireCharger system from VMS Motorsports. As a dirt guy, I had been leaning towards keeping things in the dirt, and Kyle’s well written application, along with his determination, very professional appearing website, and expansive 2009 schedule made Peterlin Motorsports a definite choice as a partner with VMS Motorsports.
The additional FireCharger system will go to Collin Bamke, Super Late Model pilot from Slinger, Wisconsin. This was a completely personal and emotional choice made by my wife, Julie. Many of you remember Collin’s fiery wreck at the Slinger Nationals last summer, and as soon as my wife heard me mention his name, she told me I had to give him a system too. Collin will be receiving his FireCharger system from The Agency Real Estate, the parent company to VMS Motorsports. As a Real Estate Brokerage in South-East Wisconsin, It just made sense to use The Agency brand with a local driver.
