Changes in division structure for 2009
« on: December 03, 2008, 09:34:27 pm »
600 Racing and INEX are excited to announce changes in division structures for 2009

600 Racing and INEX has announced that for 2009 the Legends racing division structure has been modified.

For the 2009 season, there will be four Legends divisions.  Racers under 16 years of age, and not already in the Pro division, will compete in the Young Lions division, and they will receive national points for the Young Lions division.  In previous seasons the Young Lions class was not a separate division, but rather a sub-division of Semi Pro.  Racers over the age of 16, and not yet in the Pro or Masters divisions, will compete in the Semi Pro division.  Racers 40 years of age or older, will have the option to race in the Semi Pro or Masters divisions.  The Pro division will remain the highest level in Legends competition, with drivers of all ages, as approved by INEX Executive Director, Darrel Krentz.

Since Young Lions will now be a separate division, it will also be part of the Legends National events. In previous years the Young Lions Nationals were held in conjunction with the Bandolero Nationals.  The division will also be recognized nationally for the points championship, and the top 5 will be recognized at the 2009 INEX International Awards Banquet.

We want everyone to know that we are continually working towards making our sport one where you can compete at the top level and do so without spending excessive amounts of money. At 600 Racing and INEX, we feel by re-structuring the divisions, it will give our racers a chance to compete with others at their same level.  By expanding our existing three divisions, to a total of four, we are also looking forward to seeing new faces in victory lane.

We hope our racers see the value in the structure change, as we do here at 600 Racing and INEX.  This year has been a very exciting season and lots of fun for all of us.  We look forward to an even better year next season and will continue working with our racers to make it as enjoyable and affordable as possible.  We send a big thank you to all of you that support our mission statement and continue to enjoy with us the excitement of INEX Racing.
