Hi Al!

 The filter screens are washable, and can also be replaced with different size screens.  I  used them in my modified; never had any problems. They tend to be a little pricey. I bought mine off eBay for $30.00 incl. shipping.

I made a mistake  :-[ on the oil filter we're using, K&N Performance Gold HP3001 is what I used.

I have been using K&N. Probablly not the best idea. I'm going to go look at my flow rates etc. tomorrow. I tend to run too warm and am updating to that extended oil line/filter tomorrow.
