Car lift
« on: May 08, 2008, 12:24:54 pm »
The subject came up a while back and I saw this on craigslist here in St. Louis.  Looks like a pretty good design for legends cars but not sure that I would crawl under a truck with this.

I use a high lift pallet jack.  You can find them used cheap.  I have a manual pump one that I paid 100 bucks from a surplus supply shop (HGR if you have on close to you) Works great, too heavy to take to the track but around the garage it is great.  Mine puts the frame rail at about 30 inches.

At least there are some dimensions that a guy can work with.
Thanks for the site!

I would still love to get some specifics on home built lifts if anyone has one.  I can come up with dimensions based on the size of my car, but was wondering about tubing size and things like that.
