Making the Body Gap Look Better

I have a 1934 Ford Sedan that is a 2-piece body. There seems to be some gap between the two pieces. Will extra pop rivets help? I tried pushing it together with my hands and it did not seem to move at all. I am thinking of filling the gap with some material and just painting over.

Mine is the same way. I think that is just how they fit. I thought about filling in the gap as well. It is a pretty large gap to fill, so may be prone to cracking. A lot of flex between the 2 halves.

Perhaps whatever it is filled with needs to be relatively flexible as well. One idea is use vinyl wrap. That definitely can handle the flex. Might even run a racing stripe of vinyl just to cover it up.

That could be a good solution. It would definitely help the appearance! The coupe bodies look so much cleaner because they are a one piece body.
