Rule Book Change- Dash
« on: February 27, 2018, 01:05:02 pm »
This comes about amid some discussion on some of the Facebook pages and the fiberglass dashes used on the UK cars.

Another quality decision by INEX, penalize all who previous fabricated legal Lexan or other plastic dashboards and utilized them for past 3 years with no problems or safety issues, only to change a rule late in the offseason only because someone came up with an alternative dashboard that they feel is not legal or safe.  Sorry, but can't help that supposedly 50 people ordered these new dashboards already. Just change the rule to ban the new dashboards only. Why make numerous teams extra work to change back to the old aluminum dashboard when there is no performance gain with what they originally had, either aluminum or Lexan/plastic dash.  Enough said...I'm out...

From what I understand on the Facebook pages, this guy has already sold the first batch and was working on orders or a second batch.
Other than USLC isn't making any money off of it, I don't see the big deal. No performance gain. Strictly cosmetic and ease of access to switches. ???
SAD!!!
