Clutch plates and head bolt torq
« on: June 29, 2014, 06:52:46 pm »
We have some time off at my local track and I was doing some maintenance on the car. Noticed that a head bolt was backed off...any ideas for what the torq spec should be? Secondly pulled the clutch assembly out and inspected them, how thick should the fiber plates be when they are new?

Friction Plates should be2.9 - 3.1 mm Standard and 2,8mm Minimum.
Clutch Plates should be 1,9 - 2.1 mm Standard .
Warp limit 0.1 mm.

Head Bolts; My FJ manual says to torque them to 25 ft lbs.
I have head that 27 ft lbs is the recommended for retorquingvhead bolts.

Bought mine on eBay for $5.00. Used, but very nice shape!
