Are you running the red box or the black?

Do you have a red box that you can try? Also check your ground for that coil. I'm sure you have but never hurts to state the obvious sometimes.

i think i have checked every thing i can think of. the wires are pulled so tight that i was thinking there may be a bad connection some where. I do not have an extra box. i sent a email to the guy i bought the car from and see if he has any ideas also. Randy Irwin has a couple of cars that his son Jayson runs. see if they can help me out also.

we experienced same issue for a few races. turned out to be the wires going into the blue pickup plate. the wires are just finely soldered into the plastic pickups and the white wire had a dry joint which caused the coil pack to intemittent fire.

I'll go with the obvious first (stuff that is free to cheap to check).
Wiring: look for obvious loose connections, breaks, etc...
Ground: Make sure you have a good ground.
Plug wires: Check the resistance on each plug wire.
Again; Connections.
If you can, change out the box with a known good box; do so.
Check the suspect coil. Could be bad.
???

My .02 for what it's worth.

remove firewall plate so you can get to the four phillips screws that hold the cover plate (if still fitted) on the back of the motor. There is two black plastic pickups attached to a blua anodized plate and the wires go into them. ours looked all good but with a touch of a screwdriver tip, the wire come loose. we had a suspect coil and between heats replaced and the issue went for next heat, only to have it occur when the motor got hot while leading feature.

I had a starting issue one time and found that one of the termials that snaps into the plastic connector pushed back so it wasnt making a good connection with the box. Make sure all of those wire terminals are seated well in the connector. Somthing to check. Sounds like it could be your box? Best of luck.

if you use a cover check to see if the cover is contacting the terminals.. remove cover see if the skip is gone....

Ever figure it out? Mine just started doing the same thing. Changed coil , no change. New blue plate, no change. Switched wires to coil and plugs, different coil not firing now. Put test light to wires while running, the red wires are steady on, the blue and white wires are flashing as if they are  firing but nothing coming out of the blue wire. What ever coil I put the blue wire does not fire. Any ideas?

Thanks,
Robert
