Steering Rack
« on: March 03, 2014, 12:52:01 pm »
When you are fastening the rods to the steering rack rods, do the heim joints go on the bottom or on top of the rods that come out of steering rack. In my old age I can't remember how it was before my dad took it apart.  How he had it fastened, on the way home from the motor shop both rods snapped and I figured it was because they were put on wrong.

Thanks,

Scott

the first picture looks like the arms are mounted on sides?
should the arms be as downhill as possible from the steer rack or try to be parralell with the lower A arm?
We dont have a bump steer plate and never gone into that much for setup so just curious.

parallel with the lower A arm or as close as you can get it.
