What about engines sealed with the old syle seals?  Are we going to have to send them off to 600 to get checked out and resealed or will our local tech be able to reseal them for us?  I've got an 1250 that hasn't been reworked by 600.  Just sealed by them and sold.  There are a lot of engines racing dirt in North Dakota with the old style seals that are competitive with lots of nights left in them before being ready for a rebuild.  80 to 100 nights on an engine isn't out of the ordinary for us on dirt.

Yes; You will have to send them in to be re-sealed. Read last years rulebook.

Central PA Legends have arranged for INEX to visit the local dealer (in Mechanicsburg, PA) on the first weekend in February (1st or 2nd). We had enough local motors to be re-sealed that they were kind enough to visit us. The time slots are by appointment and cost is I believe $150 per motor. Please confirm details (date and cost) with Ed or Josh Trump (Central PA Legends Dealer) at (717) 443-9369.

Engine can be in car or out of car. Valve  cover will be removed. Should take about an hour .That is what  Josh told me yesterday

I don't believe there is any dyno involved.
They are removing old seals and checking the engines, most likely cylinder bore and camshaft lobes, and putting new seals on.

Personally, I don't think they are going to catch much with the off-site inspections.
The majority of cheated up motors need to be torn down to find the offense.

End of my opinion, back to the thread already in progress  :-X

Not sure what all is involved... Both my motors have new seals so I don't need to worry. I was just passing along the info.

I thought that the use of a whistler device might have been mentioned, but not sure.

Chad,
I had my sealed engine sent into USLC this past fall to have seals updated and they not only remove valve cover, but cylinder head also.  Inspected and installed new cylinder head gasket, all for $50.  I would not be surprised if they pull cylinder heads on your engines also.

Mark,

The way I understand the seal rule is that the 1219 engine seals need to be checked.
