Looks like they are going to let you run them down to the cords. This should be interesting to see what the cuts look like now.

directional tires have a direction because f the way the belts are manufactured and assembled. not a good idea to run them opposite, they could come apart in a load situation..

The portion referring to direction is so that racers can run the tires on the road course and use up what they have already used. Trying to save racers a few bucks.

Joe the directional portion of steel belted tires is more for tread pattern than the belts. Steel belts are not as effected as the bias ply tire. I forgot that half of the winter heat was on road course. Makes sinse now.
