Steering Rack
« on: November 29, 2013, 05:42:17 pm »
We are in the process of replacing the bracket that holds the steering rack and the old one has already been cut off.  What we are looking to find out is...is it the bracket or the steering rack  or both that needs to be level before we weld the new bracket on.

Thanks,

Scott

Level and straight is always good. Are you going to replace it with the 1/4" plate?
Much sturdier than the old 1/8th plate. No need to double it.

Yes we are replacing it with the 1/4" plate. We forgot to take pics before we took the grinder to the welds and cut the old one off.
