Fairly new to Legends, but learning a lot!!! (especially because of this site)
Racing on 3/10 mile 10-12 degree banked asphalt oval.
Got a lot of fast guys at our track, and they all basically run the same set-up (at least that's what I can gather, no one actually would ever show there cards I'm sure).
I am a bit of an odd nut and would like to run something completely different. Sticking to a lot of the chassis (caster/camber/pinion/toe/etc) rules of thumb mentioned by people trying to help locally, and what I am reading here on this site.
Thinking about springing the car really light, we got a couple of really bad bumps coming out of the turns and I find causes huge chassis upsets with heavy springs?
For example 225 RF, 200 LF, 200 LR and 175 RR
In return thinking about raising the ride heights to compensate for this? Without me in the car LF 4" RF 4 1/4" LR 4 1/4" RR 4 1/2"
Putting it in tonight to see what scale #'s are going to show, and curious as to what you guys think?
I know I will get a lot of comments about the rear spring selection (opposite to what is recommended) but I am 6'-4 250lbs, and I really change scale #'s/ride heights in the car when I get in the cockpit. I am thinking the stronger LR will compensate for my Muscular (LOL) Physic?
Please correct me if you think I am completely wrong in my thoughts?
Or if you think I am completely NUTS, I am OK with that also....
