how many miles do you get on a race motor?

just started to think about this... we run a third mile track...about 25 lap race ,8 lap heat, and 2 rounds of practice 40laps.lets say 75 laps at race speed..just about 25 miles.  so if you get 30 races its 750 miles..... a mistake to figure this out.. I've had them blow at 7 races before that 175 miles, that's my round trip to the track once..

I put race night #102 on my motor Saturday. Majority of it on a 1/3 mile.
8 lap heats, 20 lap mains...so thats roughly 942 miles and counting

Last year was are first year in legends.  We bought a motorcycle and put the stock 1200 in the car.  The motor had 24,646 miles on it.
We ran 20 or so races on the motor plus 6 or 7 practice days.  We were able to compete here and there at riverhead race way for top 5's 1/4 mile asphalt.
Two 10 lap practices an 8 lap heat and 20 lap features.  we did 16 at riverhead.  We ran 3 races at mountain speedway pretty much same number of laps but bigger track.
We then ran turkey derby at wall stadium speedway i think it is 1/3 mile long straights lots of banking.  We ran 100 laps of practice the week before.
Pretty much same number of laps on race day but race was 40 laps.  Motor held on all season.  We abused it for sure.  Still runs too sounds like a champ!!
We bought a new .008 1250 through rpm proformance and will get that rebuilt ever winter.  we will put 20-25 races on it a year.

so at 25 races its about 625 miles... I see bike motors go  longer in the legends than does the built motors, but they are just not as fast..
kind of interesting,,,,,,some guys get 50 races 1250 miles if lucky ...
