racing fees for your track?
« on: July 18, 2013, 04:48:47 pm »
i just want to start a topic with fees and racing  example
i pay 30 for car and driver being a member of the track saves me 30 a week with membership being 125 a season.
we also have to have transponders which are mylaps brand and the track rents them to drivers for 50$ a night way to high i think.
pit pass for my crew are 20 each
i would love to know what others are paing to race and get into the pits.

Beaver Dam, WI. No membership fee, $25 pit pass per person. Transponder rental $10 (I think, always owned my own).
Angell Park, WI. No membership fee, $30 pit pass...no transponders used

Our tracks are $30-$35. transponders $20-$25. When we race with the SRL Southwest tour I get a transponder for $35 for 2 days.

Pretty standard fees. We have covered this in the past threads.

I know when I raced IMCA and  dirt mods  in new york it cost me 15. to 20 dollars for my pit pass and that covered the cost to race also.Tracks up in central new york basicaly paid you to put on the show.I got paid 40 + dollars to start the race.I bought a legends car this year since I now live in n.c and it cost like 25. for pit pass and 35 or 40 to race my car and you get 15 to start the race.way more than I bargained for..

Kind of depends on where you race and how much the track owner/ promoter are behind the program.
Not going to get rich. But it can be very rewarding.

the owner/promoter's are behind us in the UK as for pit crew its £15 per meeting, we have our own transponder's so save on that!

and its only £1 for me to race and that £1  goes to the doctor :-)

At Riverhead Raceway  Entry is $30 last place 27th pay out is $25 i think it is $25 up to 10th place then it starts to increase.  It is $140 to win $110 for second $65 for 3rd. so on and so on.
We had a big $1000 to win race when the NASCAR whelen modified tour came to town.  I was lucky enough to win that race!!
