Wiring Issue

Hey everyone,
I just bought a new 1250 for my car and previously had a 1200. I noticed that the wiring from the old alternator had a red and a brownish wire. The new alternator has a red and a blue wire. Is the red the same as the red before and the blue is just taking place of the brownish wire?
