new tyres!!!!!!

hi first post for me but i think i have read all the old post's  

so was wanting to know about the new tryes we have to use!!! what with them being softer has anyone found out what presure is best to run? ....

sorry im racing on asphelt!
this is my first season and i have only done 2 meeting so its all very new to me 
and plus im not using cuts as im not fast enough for them yet! :-)

oh and im loving the forum and learning a lot but dont know what to do with all the info as yet

you need cut tires... have seen these car run with out them not very good..

i wanted to wait for a bit before i went down the cuts tyres way!
same as the 1250 way! im running the 1200 and im not fast enough for what i have allready  :-)
 but if your saying i need cuts then i will have to give it a really good thought!

its like setups! waithing to get it on the scales so i know where i am with it!

The car moves about too much on uncut federals, I've tried it, do a few laps with full tyres and then put cuts on, you will tell the difference straight away

Are you racing oval track or road racing? Some of us forget that there are tracks other than oval. I know a lot of the racing in the UK is road race type tracks. We have several members on the site ib the UK. Perhaps some of them will chime in and give you some info for the tracks you will be running at.

most of them in the UK run cuts! i do race on ovals! i think that what i need to do is try cuts and see how things go!
i have so much to learn about the car with setup and cross weight and all that! and trying to learn it all at once! 
im running 18/26 on uncut's so wanted to know if i was going the right way as i have been told the new tyres we have to use from inex are softer!
i know someone here that is trying   25/32 becouse there softer!

If you do a search on the site for Federal Tire there are some experiences with the tires (both cut and uncut).

You should get them cut.  The guys with cut tires will SMOKE you. Also as you get the set up to what you like then put cut tires on you will have to toss out everything and start over.  Running uncut and the cut is a VERY big change.. just cut them and start from there.

but like you said ill have to get cuts and then work from there and play around with the psi a and keep an eye on the treads!
