Wissota and Inex????
« on: November 10, 2012, 10:32:09 pm »
Anyone hear the rumor about wissota sanctioning the legends?  I guess my dealer went to the wissota banquet this weekend to hear about it.

I havent heard anything about it...I'll send out some feelers.
Maybe a group of "outlaws" is looking to start something up?
INEX license forms for 2013 are on the USLC website already

I don't get it.   Is Inex going outa business or are they just dumping the dirt side of it?

Neither.
This from John Haggan:

"Jim

We are working with them on the dirt modified but still working on the details.
This will be a joint venture between wissota and INEX for the LMOD.

John"

Looks like they are just trying to expand the Modified outside of NC

Well according to a friend of mine that was at the wissota banquet, the legends cars and the L mod are going to be sanctioned by wissota and inex.  I also was told this by Tony Brockhouse.   So its going to be interesting.

Per voicemail from Mr. Haggan, everything will still be INEX sanctioned, license fees and everything will still be through INEX. They are trying to work with WISSOTA to bring more dirt tracks into the Legends world.
There are alot of tracks that will only run WISSOTA sanctioned classes, and this partnership would allow Legends, under INEX rules, regulation, and sanctioning, to run at those facilities.
Seems like a good thing for the dirt side

Sounds like a good deal. If any of you in the snowstorm
venture out, be safe. It's bad out there.
