1200 Timing cover
« on: November 21, 2007, 11:34:38 am »
Heres the one part nobody around here is able to find, a timing cover for the 1200. Im told its the same for an 1100 and a 1250 also.  I know alot of you asphalt guys take yours off, but we need 'em in the dirt and alot of guys are experimenting with holes and screens in the covers for a little extra air flow, I just dont want to chop mine up without a backup for when I destroy it!

I've seen a few on eBay in the past few weeks. Maybe contact Tim (xtime). He seems to have a line on a lot of parts.

It was sent today.  If I did it right, you should get a ship notification from the post office via email.

Thanks,
Tom

Is this done to vent it (like the vents on a valve cover) or is it for cooling?  Anyone know where I can find an exploded view of a 1200 on the net?  Just trying to get up to speed on the specifics of the motors.

Just for cooling, FYI,  they are not the same. The one I just got does not go with my engine...I've got a 1200, so I guess the 1250 is not the same...oh well, another thing to put on eBay :)
