Interior Door Padding
« on: November 14, 2007, 01:24:16 am »
Hello all,

I am interested in adding the interior door padding, but I am not sure where to purchase them. Does anyone know where to purchase the door padding?

Thanks,

Lon

Hi Lon,
If you know someone that can sew, you could make your own. You could also get an upholstery shop to make them for you. Just make sure that you use some dense foam. I plan on making my own for the drivers side door and the driveshaft tunnel. You can buy them from 600 Racing. I have also seen them on ebay.

Coleman racing has high density, fire resistant padding in sheets for only $20.  This is what I used on my modified and it worked great.  I could mount it with just a few zip ties instead of cutting individual pieces of roll bar padding.  You could either attach this as is or make a vinyl cover for it.  The website doesn't have the size, but I think the one I have is about 2'x3' and an inch or so thick.  This stuff would also work good for seat padding.
