Storing carbs?
« on: March 03, 2012, 12:54:50 am »
I bought my car used a year and a half ago, it came with two extra carbs and now that they have been sitting for a while I was thinking of having one off them rebuilt for a spare, my question is after I pay to have it rebuilt and jetted what is the best way to store it, not knowing if I will even need in the next year or two?

 Thank you -Brian

Drain fuel from all four fuel bowls by loosening screws on drains and then leave them air out for a few days in the shop .  Store then in a dry clean safe place.  I store mine on a parts shelf in my basement nowhere near the furnace.

Hope this helps!  ;D
