Just my opinion-neither.
The minimal gain from the header wrap would be outweighed by the destruction by corrosion of the headers and or muffler.
I'm sure others will have different opinions, but thats my 2 cents

The header wrap keeps heat in the header witch in turns make the header very brittle, like Jim said not worth it.

Nope I don't wrap it at all. I think I know what your getting at, I thought it would melt it to, but it won't. Just run it.

When racing go karts I ran one header for several years that was wrapped because they would burn up your jackets if you didn't. It never became brittle or weaker, and those headers got up to 900 degrees or so. The amount of heat that it didn't give off after the wrap was considerable.  Just my opinion, maybe these headers are different  :)
