How You Doing? 2012
« on: November 08, 2011, 11:46:32 am »
Its about that time...season is over, at least for us Northerners.
What did you do to YOUR Legends car today?

Mine is sitting out in the rain with a tarp over it.
Have the garage cleaned out and have slowly started putting the sedan together for Jeff to drive in 2012

Yesterday I picked up my body from the paint shop (34 Ford Coupe), looks awesome, Grabber blue on top with white below the "body line", with a flourescent orange grill  Also picked up a Lajoie seat yesterday.  Today, I mounted the seat belts, and a few other things inside the cockpit.  its actually almost race ready for 2012!!!

I need to get my new oil cooler system installed and new belts.  Also need to get my fire bottle and tires to the basement before the garage gets below freezing, and winterize the motor.  Cleaning the garage out enough for my wife to park in it would also be a good idea.   :)

Thats the only rule we have in the garage, Julie's minivan must always fit inside, other than that, it's all mine

My car is completly torn down to the chassis.  Body is freshly painted.  Now to figure out how to get the chassis down to Jeff Jordan to get checked over.

Motor is out for rebuild and went a did a practice on asphalt last weekend in a friends car. The test went very good and my times are back where I left off. I just have to remember to take off the tear offs and not pitch it into the corner..... ;D. I might be back at the dirt nationals if they don't have them in Canada.......hahaha. Lots of work to get everything switched over.

Wish that I could make it down to Springfield for that Thanksgiving show.  Would much rather race in 40 degree weather than 100 degree weather.

Justin, Do they still do that indoor race in Kansas City or was it just a one year deal?

I'd rather race in the heat...my fat azz loses 10 pounds on those hot and humid Saturday nights!

Yup we have the Thanksgiving race, its turning in to a bigger and better deal every year.  and the Kansas City race they just raced the legends one year. it was a pain in the ass when they had it there anyway. Even though it paid pretty good, it was a joke. i finished 2nd both nights and i think i came home with about $1,000 i think., not bad...

Ohhh that 4 lettered word !!  (snow) NOT ready for it  here in ND, or referenced before today as 'Canada' with our northern location.
I'm not ready, at all, for it. I have motorcycle lifts in my garage, one with my Harley on it, our Legend is on the other side apart yet from when I borrowed Cameron Sogge my spooled 373. The rest of the garage is packed with shelving and bins full of inventory from when I closed shop. Can't get at any of my 3 tool box stacks or my main tool chest (12 feet x 6 feet in size) along with the rest of the special tools.
Problem is.... The wife's Sport Trax has to be inside the garage during the winter (have to cater to the wife !!)
Looks like I best gather up the gooseneck and haul stuff over to my warehouse soon..... snow (sigh)
