Jim,

Isn't the $250 to win at Beaver Dam based on a minimum car count of 20 cars? ???

$250 is based on 15 cars. Less than 15 and its $225 to win

I just want more tracks to run at..tipton being 4 hrs away is the only other choice and that's a pretty good distance to travel..Oshkosh, 141, Plymouth? and a few other tracks. What do we have to do to get dates at these tracks?? A payout maybe similar to Madison would be cool, would have to increase the winner payout though if it were a traveling race. It's a lot more consistent from 1st-14th. $85 to start..6th 2 weeks ago for me was $70 at BD. One of the main reasons we need more races is to hit the 20 race mark for national points. If we have no rain outs for the rest of the year i'll have 20 races in, which includes a trip to Iowa.

This is Madison's payout..

Place   Time      Heat      Feature
1      $25   $25              $200
2      $20   $20             $175
3      $15   $15              $140
4      $10   $10              $135
5      $5         $5           $130
6                                      $125
7                                      $120
8                                      $115
9                                      $110
10                                    $105
11                                    $100
12                                    $95
13                                    $90
14+                                 $85

Madison has to be losing their ass or Pelitteri Waste systems is the only sh!t pumper in town with lots of money to sponsor the class. They get 16 cars a night on average

I take it by tow money you guys get a small payout for going to race? We dont have to pay to race on our ovals in the uk, as of yet anyway! Does your prize money come from inex? Or the track promoters you race at on that night?

Some tracks pay a little money for towing expense to race at their track. Prize money is paid by the track or promoter. Usually out of monies collected from entry fees and  a percentage of the spectator (gate) money.

Here in Ohio we base our payout on a PER CAR system. We ask fot $85.00 per car, negotiable track to track.  That is a fair formula if the car count is low  or high. It generally cost 25.00 per person t enter the pit area.  The racing market is a togh market these days, the track have lower car counts and lower fan counts, the price of fuel is up and unemployment is high, its a lose lose situation for the racer.

To actually have a traveling series you would have to get some type of a series sponsor and have more prize money involed, no one can go race for $200 or $250 to win and have to travel for a long distance. Years ago we actually had All State Insurance as are title sponsor and it paid every night $400.00 to win and paid back really well. and it paid $5000,00 to win the points. what we did was take the track winnings and we would pay the top ten with allstate money to. so if you won $200.00 from the track for finishing 1st, allstate money would pay $200 to and then you would have your $400.00 an the extra money went back to 10th place. so you could finish 10th and still walk out with $80 to $100 bucks. It worked out really well. you would need a main sponsor and then get some small ones to pitch in for other things.
