The first Race
« on: April 22, 2011, 11:43:10 am »
Hi all,
I just wanted to take the time to thank everyone for their help this winter.  I had my first race saturday and I finished 14th out of 24.  I was happy with the run and learning how to drive the car.  It is a lot different then the go karts.  I learned a lot more about how to drive and now know what i need to do to help improve myself.  I was invloved in a small wreck but the only damage was the front bumper and it knocked my toe out for the whole race.  Everyone this winter has been a huge help.  Without everyones help the car would probably not have made it on track saturday.  I have made a new website for this year and added the forum as a link to hope more people come to it.  My website is www.winterracing.net.  Our next race is saturday april 30th at beech ridge motor speedway.  It should be a great weekend.

Thanks again for everyones help i'm sure i will have more questions soon

Dan

Glad to hear that you had a good first race.  With that many cars, I would imagine just finishing the race was a good result.  Have fun this year.

Hi Dan,

Congratulations on making it through your first race with relatively little damage. Sounds like a good field (24 cars). Not a bad finish with your toe knocked out of whack. The website looks good!  Thank You for helping to promote LegendsRacer!!! Looking forward to watching your results as the season progresses
Best Wishes!

Steve

14th out of 24 cars ? I would have been kicking and screaming !!
Demand way higher of myself... that would have been failure

Of course i want to finish higher lol but not bad for a first race
