Just got home from Sturgeon Bay, really fun track. Won my heat and led about 5 laps in the feature until finishing 3rd. Me and DJ had about a 12 lap battle back and forth but once i got passed him i made a run for 2nd but ran out of laps.

I need a new driver.
Personal mistakes are killing my season.
Was a top 5 car until the final restart. Somehow shifted myself into 5th gear and didnt realize it until after the race

Car was awesome tonight in Beaver Dam....won my heat and probably led at least 12 laps in the feature..Got passed with like 3 to go as the motor was dying...started to pop again at the end of the straights.

I have a new head on this motor for 3 races. Ran good the first 2. The rings in cylinder 2 were burnt up pretty good from the motor running so hot and aren't sealed properly as i'm getting blow by in that cylinder and its the only cylinder i have low compression in. I've been running a catch can and probably caught about 3/4 of a quart of oil tonight in the heat race. Emptied it and then caught about a 1/4 of a quart after the feature. Probably totaled about a quart of oil that was blown out total tonight. Plugs are 3 races old and i put a brand new one in the second cylinder tonight and it was pretty black but not wet when we got home and checked it. All the other cylinders look good, its just the #2 thats giving me issues. Idk why it started running sour with about 3-4 to go. At the end of the straight away probably 8-9,000 it would start to pop a little bit so i lost my shot at the win. Idk if its oil getting in my black box or some wiring that caused it to run bad. The catch can doesn't catch all the oil so i get it sprayed all over my fire wall and it could get in the black box or on the air filters and idk if it was that that gave me the issues tonight or if its a valve again or what...Seems a little soon to be having a valve go bad already.

Ethan nice run last night, mine starts to pop towards the end of races once in a while I always thought it's just the heat.

Had a fast car at Beaver Dam last night lead the first 3 laps then spun, restarted 18th got back up to 12ish, then spun again lol! restarted 18th and finished 5th in ten laps, I should get a bonus for passing the most cars!! Twice! lol!!!

Doesnt look good on paper, but I was happy with Saturday night.
Had no brakes going into turn one of my heat, so I pulled high and let everyone go by. Got a brake pumping rythym established and made it back up to 6th, missing 5th and final invert spot by a bumper, being the difference of starting 2nd or starting where I did, 11th.
Had alot of fun and finished 9th under yellow. Was about to clear 8th when the caution came out and 7th was right ahead of him, so might have had a chance.
All in all, had an enjoyable night of clean racing.

More brake problems Jim. Maybe you should try DOT 4.

DOT4 won't keep the rock picked up in Sturgeon Bay Thursday night from getting in the adjuster hole in the right rear drum and getting jammed between the drum and shoe.

Not sure if anyone else on the site went to the Knoxville Nationals Legends Invitational $2000 to win show, but Brandon (Schmitt20) finished 2nd behind another Wisconsin Driver, Joel Wyttenbach. I believe Jeff (Racinjj) was also there, but haven't heard from him.
Great job Brandon!

Just in a hotel 30 miles from Knoxville. Last night got second in my heat. Tonight in the feature started on the pole and got passed by Moyes from Nashville TN and Brockhouse. Then Joel got by me and was running 4th for a few laps. Then got
Moyes and Brockhouse back. Ended up beating Brockhouse by half a car. I'm happy with a second place finish. Steenbergen ended up 5th after starting last out of 20 cars. Greg Hartlaub finished in the back. Eric Barth ended up 6th I think. Don Reynolds finished 10th I think. Tipton, IA tonight and back at Beaver Dam on Saturday. I will upload the in car camera asap

Cool can't wait to see video, I'm not going to make Eldora this year because I'm getting deployed for a couple of months and will not be back in time. I'm going to have the car ready just in case my plans change. This weekend I'm playing crew chief for a kid that is in a points battle on asphalt. Next week I'm back in the seat for a couple of weeks on dirt then I'm off on a Uncle Sam's vacation.
