Weather doesn't look good anywhere up north.
How did the car work for you?

Car is better than the driver as usual. Tried a few different things and think I may have come across a set-up that worked pretty good for me.
Weathermen suck, I've been watching the radar all day, and it doesnt look like it ever rained in Iowa. Damn.

Got to do some asphalt racing last weekend. I drove a car for a friend of mine and had a blast. I started 16th and finished 10th and brought the car home in one piece. It was a really good car but a little down on power and the heat didn't help it any. It was upper 90's and the heat index was 104. I heard that someone used a heat gun in the car and it was 130 something. Hope to be back out in a week or so on dirt but until then I'm headed to Prelude to a Dream on the motorcycle this next week. Race Safe

Glad you had a good time! Finish was respectable.... And always good to bring the car home in one piece.
Still waiting for this rain to stop. Hope to get out on the bike myself.
Enjoy!!!

No dirt racing scheduled in Wisconsin this past weekend, so I went down to Dubuque, IA last night.
Different kind of track, no 2 corners are the same. Spun myself out running 3rd in my heat, finished 6th.
Track really went dry slick by Main time, I adjusted the wrong way. Started the Feature 12th, finished 6th, but could have been better.
Car was horrible on restarts after tires cooled off (no Raceceivers, so you had to stop for them to manually line you up).  A couple more PSI would have had me getting my first top 5, but I tied my career feature high of 6th, and was able to drive it onto the trailer once again, so I can't complain.

Jim,

A good finish for your first time at this track. Congratulations!
Car coming home in one piece; Priceless.

With the exception of one lost fender, she has come home in-tact all season so far (only 3 races, but it is still all season)...hopefully a new trend  ;)

Everything was going great, having fun racing, more competative than last year, won a heat race and a last chance race.......
And then my motor seised up Saturday night.....

So now I am looking for a motor and maybe someone to look at and re-rebuild my current motor......

Argghhhhhh!!!

If anyone needs their motors tested apparently I am really good at destroying them!  the tally is now 3 motors in 1 1/4 racing seasons.  The only motor I didn't blow already had 300 races on it.......go figure.

My car handled like sh1t, and got worse as the night went on no matter what I did. I'm putting last years set-up back in.
Finished 10th right behind Ethan...passed me with 1 to go.
Joey won
Brandon 2nd
DJ got 4th
Brian (Team Zero) got 6th
Grant broke

Good thing Grant broke...wouldn't want to be the last placeWisconsin dirt Legendsracer.com member  ;D

Yes, car is same as it has been all year this year...tight. Made an adjustment after the heat race and it improved but still too tight. Got a few things that i'll change to the car and we'll see how it does next week.

Finished 9th tonight behind Jim. We were pretty equal tonight i was right on him for about 18 laps but couldn't get by. Motor is running pretty weak, need to make a trip to the motor builder monday to get this squared away. Have no power getting back to the gas, having to drive the car too hard to try and make up for the motor..

I think I finally got the car set up where I want it, back to the car being better than the driver again, although the last 5 laps I was feeling good and turning in some consistent lap times and was closing in on 7th at the checkers.
Hope it doesn't rain tomorrow, want to get back into the seat right away before I forget what I was doing!  ::)

Honestly my car handled well but i have no motor to do it justice. I get in the gas and it just bogs down, almost like being in 5th gear. I dont know if it was just me but i wasnt lifting until mid-corner..
