Fire Charger 2.3L ???

Where do you advise mounting the fire system?  I have 34 Coupe and the cable is not quite long enough to get the pull tab to the dash, when I set it up in the right rear of the car.   I could mount the tab to the driveshaft tunnel in front of the shifter, but would rather it be on the dash.   Am I mounting the bottle in the wrong spot, do I need to move it to the cabin?  
   I would like to see what you guys have done in your cars.
        How have you guys done it?  
                    Any pics?

I welded tabs to the bar in front of the fuel cell and mounted the bottle horizontally there.  My cable runs down the drive shaft tunnel and the pull handle is mounted near the shifter.  I think that it is easier to reach there and the cable does not need to be bent as far as it would if mounted on the dash.  The straighter the cable stays, the less chance of it getting kinked.

That is exactly what I was doing last night but I decided to stop....Wait and ask others what they have done just to make sure.  Appreciate it.
