Pedal adjustments / welder questions

My son is 12 y.o. and is 4'3" tall and the car we bought has the pedals maxed out (behind the 600 racing rack/pinion) as far as bringing them closer to his feet.  I also have to purchase a seat that fits him but I test fitted him with where the new seat will go and my man's feet still wouldn't reach.  So my question is...would it be more beneficial for me to bring the pedals to the other side of the steering box or mount pedal extensions and leave them where they hang?

My second questions is...can anyone suggest a good MIG welder (Lincoln Electric, etc) for someone that is in the market for a starter welder. I will have to start off with a 110v, but I will eventually move up to a 220v Mig/gas.

I can answer about the welder. Miller 211 is a great 110/220 welder. I have one and love it.

Thats cheap man. I don't think a welder that cheap is worth buying. But harbor freight would be the place to get one that cheap. New anyway.

You can get a 220V Wire Feed flux core or gas from Harbor Freight for around $200.00.
I don't use it for safety related stuff, but it works fine

I picked up a  Campbell Hausfeld 115V Flux-Core Welder from tractor supply for $120.00 and its small enough to fit in the tool cart.  Its good for track side repairs like fixing horns and minor repairs.

So what I have gathered is that a 220V welder at $200+ is a better way to go for the safety/needs of the car.

This leads me to my next question...does anyone know who sells pedal extensions or is it acceptable to fabricate your own?

US Legends cars sells an extended pedal. I am unsure of the part number but any dealer should be able to help you out.

I think the rules state you can not reduce wieght,nothing about strenghting and or lengthing to fit driver
