Oil Cooling
« on: September 04, 2007, 12:29:03 pm »
We're using the HSR Oil cooling system with a three pass Setrab cooler here in the desert heat.
We are considering adding a cooler for the top end oiler.
Has anyone tried this?
Any suggestions on how to mount it with the three pass? the three pass has the exit line coming out of the top of the cooler so stacking the coolers will be a challange.
Any insight would be helpful.

Thanks

I have the same setup on one of my cars. I use a smaller setrab cooler mounted to the right for the top end oiler. The cooler is approximately 6 inches square and fits perfectly. I was also able to mount a fan to the cooler. In a 25 lap feature I will see approximatrly 210 degrees fareheit in the pan on a 80 degree day. I also use a CMG Motorsports air duct to direct the airflow and Royal Purple oil.
