Ride Height HELP!!!
« on: June 18, 2010, 09:28:29 am »
I have been having an issue getting my ride heights in my coupe. Usually it comes right in and we never have an issue. This week after putting it on the scales we found that we were having issues getting the ride height in the rear of the car (Especially the RR). After tooling around on the car we found that the RR Spring collar was actually binding with the shock mount off of the rear end. With this we figured that the mount was bent and determined this was the issue with ride heights. In doing so we replaced the rear end and after squaring the rear end and putting the car back on the scales we determined this was part of the problem, but we are still having issues. Currently my ride heights are as follows LF- 3 1/2" RF 3 3/4" LR 4 3/16" RR 3 15/16". Obviously my RF and LF are low and my LR is high. I have put probably 500 turns into the car in different places and for whatever reason the car will not come in. Right now my cross is set at 49.5%. I would like to get more rake in the car before I leave for the track today. The only difference from the car last week was the bent rear end and I am now for the first time I am scaling the car with the new tires. I already checked the size of the tires which are exactly the same as the BFgoodrich.  I am lost and not sure what to do???

Did you pull off the coil over and remount it on the wrong retainer clip?

What kind of track are you running?
Possible the mounting points are a bit different on the new rear end, especially if its a 600 piece, or the old one was.
Is your pinion angle the same as it was?
Wheel base?
Is the cross with driver or without?
