Hey Chris,
I live in Montana... Or Southern Canada as my girlfriend sees it. lol! (Southern girl) Not a lot of racing here; And the season is very short. My dad never raced a car in his life, but was really into cars. We restored several antique cars together. He never got to see me race................... But let me talk him into building a hotrod before he passed away.
Don't give dad a hard time because he likes RC cars. Did you have fun racing the RC's? It's all about the bonding with your dad. It's never too late to start racing, or be interested in racing, or cars. I have never been an" ace" driver... But I enjoy the sport and the technology.
Fathers Day is coming up... The day my dad past away 7 years ago. (8 pretty soon) Embrace that your dad is still here. Took me 7 years just to go to a car show without him. He was my best friend.
The joke with the Canadian garages stems from one of our members that has a heated floor in his garage up in Canada. Jim and I like to remind him how lucky he is. Any time you stay warm in the middle of winter and still work on your car is a good thing!
OK.... With all that said; NO probably about it... Go to your local track and see if anyone would like an extra hand. Maybe the track could even need an extra hand. I'll bet you'll get more bites than you can keep up with!
Let us know how many teams would like your help.
Regards,
Steve
