Try buying the "Dwarf Car Technology" book from Jim.
There is no set in stone answer. Driver preference, track and conditions, etc...

what are you running? Asphalt or dirt? It makes a differance and so does the size and banking of the track your running. Send me a PM and I will help as much as I can.

Along these same lines.

For asphalt I was wondering what changes you want for high banked versus flat track.
i.e. less cross for higher banked?

asphalt track is pretty flat. I think I have to much cross in the car. I am going to move it to 51% not sure were its at now.

51% should be ok  for a  paved track that is flat to medium banked.

To calculate cross weight, add together the right front and left rear corner weights, then divide by total vehicle weight.

51% should be pushing. It might even be pushing so bad that you think it is loose off (push-loose). I would bring the cross down to the 48 to 50 range but as with all dsclaimers this is just a small part of the set-up story.

48 to 50 should be a good starting point.  The less cross you run the more free the car is and free is fast IF you can drive it.

car is at 53.8 cross. in it now. car does push in corner ,but I got the car from a guy who ran a goofy setup. he had the left rear 1/2 longer then the right rear. we always had to run heaver left front spring then right front. the car is fast though. Tonight I centerd the rear up ,and went to a basic setup with springs
lf 250 rf 275 lr 175 rr 200. 0 caster lf 3 right front 2.5 camber left 5.0 right.
think i should take cross out of the car? I can throw the car back up on the scales ,but how far do you think I have to run the springs up and down?

car is at 50.0 now.  ;D found another problem while working on the car. The rack is loose somtihng on the inside. can this be rebuilt or tightend up???
then my brand new master that is one race ould is leaking at the rubber.. I have had nothing but brake problems with this car.

You have to be careful with the masters to get the pedal plunger going in perfectly straight or they will do that. I have them in stock if you need one quick.
You can get a rebuild kit from Randy (RPM), or for a short term fix, pump it full of grease, will be good for a night
