« on: March 17, 2010, 02:35:00 am »
Does anyone know what could be making a squeaking noise for about 5 seconds after the motor is running. Also i need a diagram on how to wire temp. and pressure guages.

is the guage elec or mechanical ?  are you sure nois commen from carbs ? sometimes when you starte your motor and the noise comes from top of motor  mean your head gasket is or has blown out.

on a electrical guage you will have to run a wire to the sending unite on the motor or on the radiator depending where you want it then there w8ill be a ground wire and a third wire for power , will double check when I get home tonite. as fare as the nois by the valve cover kinda sound like a head gasket to me ??? maybe run a compression check.?

The compression on the first cylinder is about 120 the second is 120 the 3rd is 60 the 4th is 80. Is that a blown head gasket?

Brandon,
Did you test it hot or cold?
Do you have the ability to do a cylinder leak down test?
When was the last vlave adjustment?
Manual or hydraulic cam chain tensioner? You could get numbers like that if your cam timing jumps a tooth.

The best I have seen a sealed pump has been about 155 cold.  The main thing is that all the holes are very close.  I know guys that have fast motors that pump 130 to 140, but thats across ALL the cyl.  So 2 of yours are 120 that the other 2 are 1/2 that then I would say the head gasket is blown between, near, around those low cyl.

I did it cold and i will probably just take it to M and R motorsports in Beaver Dam to get looked at. Engines arent my department.

problem has been solved it was a blown head gasket. I had to send it to US Legends so i had a complete rebuild on it right away. Costed $2,200.
