Seat and motor Question?
« on: January 06, 2010, 03:48:23 pm »
We run legend cars ... Looking to buy a Bandolero for my son...

-What angle seat do i need?
-What is the best containment seat for them?
-If motor does not have restrictor plate do i just add it or does motor need to be adjusted?

Thanks Paul

I use LaJoie full containment seats in both of my Bandoleros. I would say that they are the best from my experience. I can't help you with the restrictor plates because I have never had to use one.

Hi Paul,
The LaJoie seat program is the only way to go.  Check with them but i think this is the way it works.  Once you buy the custom made seat they will supply a larger seat as he grows as many times as necessary up to age 16.  I think the current charge is $100 per exchange, plus freight.  If you move up to another division that requires another type of seat,  you pay only the difference from the Bando seat to the new seat.

The restrictor plate is no big deal.  They are supplied by 600 and cost $5-$10?  There are a few things you need to know about them.  They must be installed in a certian way.

Here is a link to a flyer we made up on the use of restrictor plates:

Did I mention I have a Bando for sale?  This car is in AZ but it comes with 2 bodies, one is a virgin and VERY NICE!  Painted by a professional.  Airbrushed headlights and tailights  ect.....  The car is listed in the classifieds.
